Voter registration applications can be picked up at the main water district office Monday-Friday from 8AM-4PM.
Early Voting
April 20 to April 24, 2026
Election Day
Saturday, May 2, 2026

REGISTER TO VOTE: SAMPLE APPLICATION

The last day to register to vote is April 2, 2026. This form must reach the MCWCID#1 District Office by this date to be able to vote in the election. Please make sure you leave ample time for mail delivery.

Here is how…

WHO IS QUALIFIED TO VOTE?

Per Section 51.221 and 51.311 of the MCWCID #1 code, you must:
1) Be 18 years of age or older
2) Be a United States Citizen
3) Hold title or an interest in titles to farmland or ranch land within the boundaries of the district
4) Receive and use irrigation water delivered by the district and all assessments or other amounts owed to the district are paid in full

WHERE DO I GO?

You must make a personal appearance at the MCWICD #1 office

WHAT DO I NEED TO TO BRING?

1) Deed to your property that is within the district
2) MCWCID #1 voter card or government-issued ID

WHO CAN REGISTER YOU?

The only person certified to register voters for this election is MCWCID #1 General Manager Brenda McCalip or her designated office personnel alternate. If anyone comes to you with a registration form and volunteers to take it to the District Office to register for you, that is illegal!
Per Section 51.221 you must appear in person and present proof that you meet the eligibility requirements.

FAIR ELECTION

In order to run a clean and fair election, I am reminding voters of the following items.
• If someone offers to register you to vote, know that you must register in person
• If someone offers to pay you for your vote, this is illegal
• If someone offers you anything of value for your vote, this is illegal
• If someone threatens to withhold your water, or with harm if you don’t vote for them, this is illegal

Building On a Family Legacy

Born in Eagle Pass, Texas and raised in Quemado, Texas, Henry Moses has close ties to farmers and ranchers. For many years, he has farmed alongside his father, and now with his family’s pecan orchards and hay field farming. His background with farming is grounded in rich experiences with his grandfather and father, Abdalla Henry Moses, and working, hands-on, alongside farmers, ranchers, and water district personnel.
